What is a SamraeDuke anyway?
Hello!
My name is Samrae Duke and I am a freelance Illustrator, Fine Artist, and Graphic Designer.
In my work, I strive to draw in the viewer’s eye and lead it around a complex composition utilizing line and color. My goal is to always keep the viewer’s eye moving, searching for all the little details and narratives within my art. I gather my inspiration from nature, fantasy, and folklore.
I've been passionate about drawing and painting my whole life. In 2013 I earned my Bachelors in Fine Art with a Concentration in Illustration from East Carolina University's School of Art and Design.
I grew up in Southern California, but I currently reside in Eastern North Carolina with my husband, along with our German Sheppard Dog named Balthazar, and our tabby cat named Minerva.
